Full Moon flash fiction is a series of twelve, or possibly thirteen, short stories inspired by the lunar globe that lights up the night sky.
It is currently a work in progress and will encompass stories based on or inspired by a year’s worth of full moons.

Or, to be more precise, the The full moons, or, to be more precise, the names by which the full moons are known were the starting point. Like many of us, I love looking up to the night sky and seeing that bright shining globe and feeling mesmerised.
I have been predominantly inspired by the old Celtic and Medieval names for full moons as used in Britain. But where a tale wanted to be written, I have looked to China, or the Native American people.
Of course, one of the issues is that in much of the world we follow a 12 month calendar. Whereas the lunar calendar will give us thirteen moons. I say issue, but its more to explain that I may finish with 12 or 13 stories.
The thirteenth full moon, or the second full moon in a calendar month is called a Blue Moon
